Proud to be at Pride
So...blogging. Have to say that this is new for me and I did say that I would keep challenging myself by doing something new each week.
On Saturday, I had the pleasure of walking alongside the Barclays float and being their photographer for the day. It's been on my list for quite some time and it's fair to say it was AWESOME!!! I think I can tick 2 new things off of my list.
When I was asked back in March, I thought go on. You know you want to. I'm so glad I said yes to Ben, the organiser, when you know you just can't say no to that beautiful smile!
Although you could feel a huge police and security presence during the event, it actually made the parade that much better. Knowing you had so many trained people around you in case anything happened. I felt safe and comfortable with everyone; it's so wonderful to see that everything went ahead. Birmingham was so welcoming and I highly recommend staying at the Penta hotel. I stayed there with my very good friend Emma and we where blown away by everything. The staff where fantastic and food was so delicious- will be staying there again!
Massive thank you to everyone who welcomed me; it was a first for me and it won't be the last. See you all soon!
